For Me To Live Is Christ

For me to live is Christ Charles Spurgeon.png

Paul had some strong feelings about what this life should look like in Philippians 1:21. He proposed that life should be lived for Christ. How are you spending your life? If someone took an audit of the time you spent, would they conclude that “for you to live is Christ,” or would they conclude that you live for something or someone else?

In order to live for Christ, we have to have the Spirit of Jesus (a.k.a. The Holy Spirit) living in us. It is only through the strength that we are given through this connection that we are able to “live for Christ.”

How do you stay connected to Christ? What do you do to keep your relationship with Him fresh? Please let us know in the comments below.

There is Purpose in Your Pain

Do you trust God? Paul writes, “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). He also writes, “For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Philippians 1:21).

Paul believed that no matter what circumstances he faced, God had a purpose. He knew that God could use whatever situation he found himself in to make the Gospel known and bring Him glory.

Do you believe that?
